General Information

Introducing the Triumph Daytona 675 SE, a stunning special edition of the award winning supersport machine that really stands out from the crowd.

Triumph is offering customers across North America the opportunity to own a truly unique factory sport bike with the Daytona 675 Special Edition. The limited edition model takes the award-winning Daytona 675 and covers its body panels, tank and fenders in a stunning new Pearl White while the frame, swing arm and subframe receive a distinctive Sparkle Blue paint.

"The Daytona 675 has received exceptional reviews for its performance and styling," said Jim Callahan, North American Marketing Manager for Triumph Motorcycles. "Now, Triumph has taken the bike's styling a step further with this incredible new color scheme. You absolutely have to see the Daytona 675 Special Edition in person to appreciate the way sunlight makes this bike shine."
The Daytona 675 SE is mechanically identical to the standard 2009 Daytona 675, which has received praises worldwide by winning several road and track-based tests against its competitors.

The race-bred machine utilizes a 126bhp three-cylinder engine and the very latest chassis technology, including a highly sophisticated and adjustable front and rear suspension. Riders can adjust both high and low speed compression damping to obtain unparalleled levels of control that are suited to both spirited street and track riding as well as compliance for rough road surfaces. New radial-mount Nissin monobloc front brakes give tremendous stopping power while the latest Pirelli SuperCorsa SP tires give outstanding levels of grip and feedback.

A full range of genuine accessories and factory race parts also are available for the Daytona 675 SE, giving owners an opportunity to personalize both the looks and performance of their machine. Track day enthusiasts will find a number of accessories that include lightweight carbon fiber parts and a 'plug-and-play' quickshifter as well as race-style rear set footrests and a racing inspired exhaust that were developed with Italian racing specialist Arrow Special Parts.

Similarly, Triumph's association with Alpinestars technical riding apparel has resulted in a range of performance jackets, pants, gloves and boots that are designed for male and female Daytona 675 riders.

General Information

Triumph is introducing a special edition to its café racer-styled Thruxton, giving an even sportier look to the classic British design.

The 2010 Thruxton SE debuts a stunning powder-coated red frame and Crystal White bodywork with red stripe, color-matched fly screen and blacked out engine cases. The new Crystal White paint contains a high metallic content that results in a luxurious paint finish, and creates a striking contrast to the dramatic red frame.

The Triumph Thruxton features state-of-the-art design and performance combined with a distinctively retro design. The fuel injected 865cc parallel twin is the most powerful of Triumph’s Modern Classics range, delivering 68bhp at 7,400rpm and peak torque of 51ft.lbs. at 5,800rpm. The engine shares the same 360° firing interval as the Bonneville, but also features ‘hot’ camshaft profiles, a compression ratio of 9.2:1, and megaphone style pipes.

Sporty, low rise bars, 18 inch spoke wheels, megaphone style pipes, and a race inspired stripe from tank to tail evoke memories of the Ace Café and racing in the streets.

The Thruxton SE will be available at authorized Triumph dealers throughout North America in the spring of 2010. Prices are still to be confirmed but the SE model will come at a small premium over the standard Thruxton.

General Information

Introduction
Cruisers are all about smooth flowing lines, a symphonic engine and a laid back riding position so it is good to see that the bike has all that. But why are we saying this before even mentioning anything about the engine at all? Simply because we’re dealing with the latest Bonneville engine, a fuel-injected version of the unmatched 865cc, air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin, 270 degree firing interval unit now found at the greatest level of performance and reliability thanks to the recent shot of modernity that it gets.

Like all America models before it, the 2010 model year comes with a five-speed transmission and X-ring chain final drive so that the best of the engine would be smoothly transmitted to the rear 15-inch wheel which, by the way, has a 170mm wide rear tire. Up front, we’re talking about an 18-inch wheel and a 110 wide tire. Stopping power is delivered to the 12-spoke wheels through 2-piston calipers acting on a single 310mm disc brake so that the stylish front wheels would stand out properly and 2 piston calipers acting on a single 285mm disc at the back.

America’s 41mm forks are positioned at a rake angle of 33.3 degrees, which is just perfect both for creating that nice classic look and only needing a pair of pullback handlebars in order to achieve a comfy riding position. But, we shouldn’t forget that the Triumph America, like the veritable cruising two-wheeled machinery that it is, comes with the frame and swingarm made of steel and that has much to do with the 550 lbs wet weight of the bike.

Thanks to a low center of gravity and a 60bhp powerful engine, that weight seems like being lost when accelerating. Also, with torque at 53ft.lbf, we notice that despite getting fuel injection, the bike does not feature increased performance figures which can only mean that Triumph replaced the old carburetors just so that the bike would meet environmental regulations and be as modern as their contenders are.

"For a start the Triumph Bonneville America feels substantial, not spindly like the Harley 883, and sitting on the sculpted rider’s seat you feel like you’re on a ’proper’ cruiser, not a 883cc wannabe. Well, until you start the engine, that is." – motorcycle

"The vibration-free engine and respectable highway power might make you think about traveling on an America, and the bike will prove an able touring companion. Our sole comfort complaint concerns the rear suspension, which is not as responsive as we’d like over sharp bumps." – motorcyclecruiser

“Where the bike endeared itself to me was in the handling department. When the road curves, this is one cruiser I’d want to be on. Steering may not be light, but it is reassuring and the bike tracks through high-speed corners without wallowing.” – cycleworld

"Any journey over 45 minutes and your lower back will ache, the nape of your knees will be crying out for normal footpegs and your arms – which suspend most of your upper bodyweight against the windblast – will be calling time. Keep local, at around 60mph max, never stray onto a motorway, and you’ll be fine." – visordown

“…the Triumph America’s not regarded as a Harley clone or copy like so many Japanese cruisers. It’s a competent motorcycle too. It’s not particularly rapid or sporty but the Triumph America is a pleasure to ride and well put together." MCN

General Information

Extra pure Bonneville
Named after Triumph’s world speed record breaking exploits in the 1950s. Brought right up to date with the latest 21st century engineering.

The SE takes the standard Bonneville and adds that little bit more. Matching tacho and speedo, polished engine casings and a traditional chrome Triumph tank badge give the SE a look of its own, with an optional two-tone colour scheme delivering an even more individual look.

Great in the city, great on the open road. With its low seat height, easy-going 865cc parallel twin and lightweight alloy wheels, the Bonneville SE takes the legend to an all new audience.

Short mudguards front and rear, upswept megaphone silencers and cast alloy wheels give the Bonneville SE a retro ‘70s look, but thumb the starter and you’ve got a thoroughly modern interpretation of the classic British twin at your disposal.

Good design and quality engineering never go out of fashion. Neither does the Bonneville SE.

Features and Benefits
Engine
The Bonneville SE features a fuel injection system designed for clean running and to meet Euro 3 legislation. The retro styling remains uncompromised though, as the fuel injectors are cleverly concealed by throttle bodies designed to look like traditional carbs. Polished alloy side covers come as standard on the Bonneville SE.
Wheels
The Bonneville SE sports stylish lightweight 17” cast alloy wheels, creating an all new look and improving the bike’s agility and low speed handling characteristics.
Exhaust System
Stylish megaphone exhausts mimic those sported by the raciest bikes in the 1970's.
Brakes
The braking set-up of single front 310mm disc and 255mm rear, both worked on by powerful twin-piston calipers, offers sensitivity, control and ample stopping power.
Seat
The Bonneville SE’s comfortable seat is 1.3in lower than on previous models. Combined with a revised riding position, the Bonneville SE provides a more relaxed and accessible ride than ever before.
Chassis
The Bonneville SE’s low seat height (29.1inches) and low center of gravity make it a manageable motorcycle that all riders can appreciate. The tubular steel double cradle frame is incredibly strong while offering light and precise handling.
